Amy is a Marketing professional, a child care provider, and a mother of a three year old. When she became a mother, all she ever heard was, talk to your baby, talk to your baby. As a new mother, it felt so awkward, she just didn’t understand the reasons behind it! Amy had various questions running through her head about this idea, “What would she say? Is she listening? Does she understand me?” Amy then decided to look into doing sign language to help her communicate with her daughter, and what a difference it made! It gave her something fun and interactive to do with her baby. This also helped answer all her un answered questions! Amy couldn’t believe it but yes, her daughter was listening! When her daughter was an infant, she got excited every time she signed “milk.” As she got older, she didn’t cry at lunch time…she just signed “more!” Now at 3, her daughter is not only signing, but speaking at a much higher level than most three year olds. She has been placed into an older preschool class since her vocabulary was so advanced. Amy and her daughter now can carry on fantastic conversations. Signing made such a difference in their lives and she wants to share that success with you. We take the children on a learning adventure into the worlds of music and movement. Kids are exposed to music through songs, games and group activities. We then encourage self-expression and creativity through the exploration of dance and yoga (for older children). Imajine That's FUNdamentals classes are separated into three age appropriate learning sessions, and are available on both Fridays and Saturdays.
